According to the latest forecasts from the Turkish State Meteorological Service, much of Türkiye will experience cloudy weather today, with scattered showers and thunderstorms predicted across wide swathes of the country.

Regions at particular risk include the southern and eastern parts of Central Anatolia, Central and Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, northeastern and eastern parts of Southeastern Anatolia, and parts of Thrace, including Edirne and Kirklareli.

Heavy rainfall warning for Central and Eastern Türkiye

Forecasters warn that localized heavy rain is likely in eastern Central Anatolia, the Eastern Black Sea region, and the northern parts of Eastern Anatolia. Areas around Tokat may also be affected by strong showers and possible thunderstorms.

Temperatures to stay seasonal

Despite the unsettled conditions, temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal averages throughout the country, with no major shifts predicted in the coming days.
