Visitors and residents planning weekend activities in Türkiye should prepare for a mix of sunny skies, strong winds, and local showers.

Meteorologists expect most regions to stay warm and dry, making it ideal for outdoor plans, but warn of gusty winds in Marmara and the western Black Sea coast.

Short rain showers are expected in Thrace and the eastern Black Sea, while popular cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir will see clear skies and above-average temperatures.

Warm, dry weather expected across Türkiye this weekend

The Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) says most regions will stay sunny or partly cloudy.

Temperatures will remain above seasonal norms across western and central Türkiye, while the east stays closer to average.

Cengiz Celik, a weather forecast expert at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, said, “Rain will only be seen along the eastern Black Sea coast and in parts of Kirklareli and Edirne this weekend. The rest of the country will stay mostly dry.”

He added that Istanbul and Ankara can expect clear skies, with short showers possible around Catalca.

Strong winds to hit Marmara, western Black Sea coast

Meteorologists warn that winds from the north and northeast will strengthen across Marmara and the western Black Sea coast.

The gusts may disrupt outdoor plans and sea traffic, especially in Istanbul, Tekirdag, and Zonguldak.

Celik said, “Strong winds are forecast for Marmara and the coastal parts of the western Black Sea over the weekend. We advise citizens to be cautious, particularly near the coast.”
