Türkiye’s biggest music festival to host Jennifer Lopez, DJ Diesel this summer

The internationally acclaimed Istanbul Festival, organized by Focus Istanbul Event Management, is set to take over Festival Park Yenikapi from Aug. 1 to 17, welcoming music icons like Jennifer Lopez and Shaquille O’Neal, also known as DJ Diesel, alongside dozens of renowned local performers.

According to a statement by Focus Istanbul, this year’s event will blend music, esports, gastronomy, art and family-friendly experiences, creating an immersive 17-day festival atmosphere in the heart of Istanbul.

The highlight of the festival will be Jennifer Lopez’s live performance on Aug. 5, while NBA legend-turned-DJ Shaquille O’Neal will take over the decks as DJ Diesel, marking a rare and exciting appearance in Türkiye.

The festival kicks off with concerts by Aleyna Tilki and Edis on Aug. 2, followed by Emre Fel and Melike Sahin on Aug. 3. Throughout the festival, the stage will feature top Turkish artists including Dedubluman, Emir Can Igrek, Adamlar, maNga, Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut, Duman, Buray, and Gulsen.

A special tribute for MUYORBIR’s 25th anniversary

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Music Performers’ Society of Türkiye (MUYORBIR), a special night on Aug. 12 will showcase stars like Cem Adrian, Gokhan Turkmen, Hande Yener, Kubat, Melek Mosso and Nukhet Duru.

Other major performers include Simge Sagin and Mabel Matiz on Aug. 14, Ati242 and Sagopa Kajmer on Aug. 15, and Semicenk with Yildiz Tilbe on Aug. 16.

Festival beyond music–esports, basketball and gastronomy

Focus Istanbul’s CEO Ozlem Adiguzel said the festival has reached thousands over the past three years and continues to grow. “This year, we are expanding our global artist network, increasing interactive experience areas, and creating more ways for audiences to engage,” she said.

In addition to music, visitors can expect esports and basketball tournaments, food tasting areas, and children’s workshops. “For Gen Z, young professionals and families, Istanbul Festival offers brands an opportunity to connect with hundreds of thousands of consumers across 17 days,” Adiguzel added.

She also hinted that new global performers would be announced in the coming weeks.

Over 845,000 visitors last year–2025 edition expected to break records

Held over 120,000 square meters, the Istanbul Festival will be open daily from 4 p.m., with organizers aiming to exceed last year’s 845,000 visitors.
