Aselsan signs major $1.3B deal to extend Türkiye’s air defense projects

Aselsan has signed new contracts with Türkiye's Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) totaling €1.12 billion ($1.3 billion) for the ongoing mass-production projects for air defense systems.

The agreements were announced through a company statement published on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

According to Aselsan, the new contracts were signed as an addition to the existing serial production programs, further strengthening cooperation between the two institutions in Türkiye’s air defense sector.

Contract details and timeline

The total value of the newly signed agreements is €1.12 billion. Asels stated that deliveries under the contracts will take place between 2027 and 2030.

“Aselsan and the Presidency of Defense Industries of the Republic of Türkiye have signed new contracts worth €1,122,139,260 in addition to ongoing serial production projects of air defense systems,” the company said in its KAP statement. “Deliveries within the scope of the contracts will be carried out between 2027 and 2030.”

The company did not provide further details on the specific systems involved but emphasized that the contracts are a continuation of current production projects.

Broader production scope

The new agreements expand Aselsan's existing production programs in air defense systems, reflecting sustained activity in Türkiye’s defense industry.

The company noted that the delivery process will extend over four years, ensuring a gradual completion of the planned systems through 2030.

These latest contracts add to Aselsan's ongoing efforts to advance the country’s air defense capabilities while maintaining consistent collaboration with the Presidency of Defense Industries on serial production and long-term defense projects.
