Aselsan's ALP 100-G multirole AESA radar, alongside additional Hisar-A, Siper and Korkut 130/35 air defense systems, will enter the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) inventory soon, the Ministry of National Defense (MoND) announced.
Defense Ministry Spokesperson Rear Admiral Zeki Akturk made the announcement at a weekly press briefing held at Aselsan's Golbasi Technology Base, marking the company's 50th anniversary.
"Aselsan, whose thousands of products are effectively used by the TAF, is delivering new systems critical for the defense of the homeland to the Turkish Armed Forces in the field of radar and air defense," the ministry said.
The ministry said a new ALP 100-G radar will be added to the inventory next week, in addition to the Portable Early Warning Radar System ALP 300-G and Low Altitude Radar ALP 100-G that were added to the inventory in recent months.
The S-band ALP 100-G is a complementary radar to long-range warning radars like ALP 300-G, covering different altitudes against generic threat sets or performing weapon location depending on the mode of operation.
The radar has a range of over 185 kilometers and is rapidly deployable on an 8x8 truck. The most important contributions of ALP 100-G will be an optimized mode for low altitude targets—especially cruise missiles and helicopters—and a weapon location mode with trajectory prediction capability against RAM (rockets, artillery, mortars) threats for counter-fire.
Through the network, ALP 100-G can be included to assist various air defense systems within the Steel Dome integrated air defense system (IADS).
The radar is also available for export users in the ALP 110-G variant, similar to the MURAD 100-A AESA radar for fighters offered as MURAD 110-A for export.
The ministry stated that another Siper long-range regional air and missile defense system will be added to the inventory before the end of the year, in addition to Siper systems already in the inventory.
Additionally, Hisar-A, a low-altitude air defense system, is planned for delivery next week, in addition to Hisar-A systems already in inventory, the ministry said.
The ministry also announced that various quantities of Close Air Defense System 35mm modernized towed guns will be added to the inventory next week.
The Korkut 130/35 system uses ATOM 35 air burst munitions and an automated mechanism.
