Baykar’s artificial intelligence-powered mini cruise missile, Kemankes-1, launched for the first time from the Bayraktar Akinci unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), successfully struck aerial targets with full precision during a live-fire test.
The test, conducted under challenging conditions, marked another milestone for Türkiye’s domestically developed defense technology. The Kemankes-1 missile completed all stages of the test; launch, cruise, and dive successfully, confirming its capability in complex aerial operations.
Baykar announced that the tests were part of ongoing trials for its high-tech, AI-based unmanned systems.

Selcuk Bayraktar, the architect behind Türkiye’s Bayraktar TB2 drone and the country’s first prototype unmanned fighter jet Bayraktar Kizilelma, shared footage from the “Launch, Cruise, and Dive Test” of Bayraktar Akinci and the smart cruise missile Kemankes-1.
Equipped with an AI-assisted targeting system developed by Baykar, Kemankes-1 autonomously identified and destroyed designated targets with high precision. The missile demonstrated its ability to neutralize even the smallest airborne targets effectively, successfully completing all tasks within the test scenario.
