The death toll from a vessel that capsized off Girne in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has risen to 14 after search teams recovered another body, Prime Minister Unal Ustel said.
Ustel said the latest body recovered was that of a man estimated to be between 55 and 60 years old, while efforts were underway to establish his identity.
With the latest recovery, the number of people still missing has fallen to 14.
Ustel said search teams were continuing to work around the clock to locate those who remain missing after the maritime accident.
"The number of people who lost their lives in the accident has risen to 14, while the number of missing people has fallen to 14. Our search efforts to reach the missing are continuing uninterrupted, 24 hours a day, seven days a week," he said.
Search and rescue operations are continuing with support from Turkish Naval Forces vessels and underwater robots.
The operation is being carried out at a depth of around 550 meters as teams continue efforts to locate the remaining missing people.
