President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday congratulated Azerbaijan on its Independence Day, stating that the victory in Karabakh is “lighting the way for a much stronger Azerbaijan.”
Speaking at an event commemorating Azerbaijan’s 34th Independence Day in Lachin—a region regained as a result of the 2020 Karabakh war—Erdogan said this victory has made Azerbaijan stronger and more prosperous.
“The victory in Karabakh has made Azerbaijan much stronger and more prosperous today. The torch of independence ignited on that day continues to guide the path toward an even stronger Azerbaijan,” he said.
Erdogan also remarked, “After 30 years of captivity, it is now time for Karabakh to write a new chapter of success, peace, and development.”
