President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in New York City aboard the presidential aircraft "TRK" to participate in the 80th United Nations General Assembly and conduct various diplomatic meetings.
Erdogan was greeted at John F. Kennedy International Airport by Türkiye's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Ahmet Yildiz, Washington Ambassador Sedat Onal, and New York Consul General Ambassador Muhittin Ahmet Yazal.
The Turkish delegation includes First Lady Emine Erdogan and several key cabinet members: Health Minister Kemal Memişoglu, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Trade Minister Omer Bolat, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktaş, and National Defense Minister Yasar Guler.
Also accompanying the president are Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, Presidential Foreign Policy and Security Chief Advisor Akif Çagatay Kilic, and Organization of Turkic States Council of Elders Chairman Binali Yıldırım.
The arrival marks Türkiye's participation in the milestone 80th session of the UN General Assembly, where world leaders gather annually to address global challenges and diplomatic priorities.
