FM Fidan joins Ukraine 'Coalition of the Willing' meeting

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan participated in the online “Coalition of the Willing” meeting on Ukraine, representing President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Türkiye reaffirms support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity

According to information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fidan joined the virtual summit on behalf of President Erdogan. The meeting focused on international support efforts for Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict with Russia.

In his address, Fidan emphasized Türkiye’s consistent stance on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Türkiye calls for unconditional cease-fire

Highlighting the urgency of halting hostilities, Fidan stated that "Türkiye supports an unconditional ceasefire and the international efforts in that direction."

He further added that Türkiye stands ready to contribute to ceasefire monitoring efforts if such an agreement is reached.

Reiterating Türkiye’s role as a regional stabilizer, Fidan underscored Ankara’s willingness to assume responsibilities in verifying a potential cease-fire arrangement.

The online session brought together representatives from various nations within the "Coalition of the Willing," aiming to coordinate diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives related to Ukraine.
