Water supply will be temporarily cut off in parts of western Istanbul on Wednesday, as the city’s water utility carries out maintenance work on key infrastructure in the region.
According to a statement from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI), planned maintenance, repair, and installation operations will take place at the Beylikduzu Pumping Station and along the Yakuplu-Kavakli main transmission line. As a result, water services will be suspended from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on June 18.
The temporary interruption will affect selected neighborhoods across the districts of Buyukcekmece, Esenyurt, and Beylikduzu. In Buyukcekmece, the affected neighborhoods are Cakmakli, Alkent 2000, parts of 19 Mayis, Cumhuriyet, Karaaagac, Pinartepe, Ataturk, and Fatih. In Esenyurt, water will be cut off in the neighborhoods of Barbaros Hayrettin Pasa, Cumhuriyet, Gokevler, Mevlana, and Piri Reis. In Beylikduzu, the affected areas are Adnan Kahveci, Buyuksehir, Marmara, Kavakli, Sahil, and Cumhuriyet.
Residents in these neighborhoods are advised to take necessary precautions ahead of the scheduled outage.
