A Ferrari with an estimated value of ₺17 million (over $416,000) was destroyed in Istanbul’s Buyukcekmece district after a test drive ended in a severe crash.
The incident occurred on the E-5 highway near Ekinoba, where the driver lost control of the high-performance vehicle. The car struck a bridge pillar and overturned, leaving it beyond repair.
Although the Ferrari was written off, the driver was reported to be in good health. The accident also caused heavy traffic in the area.
Further details revealed that the driver was not the owner but the mechanic who had been repairing the car. After completing the work, he reportedly took the Ferrari out for a test drive.
Before the crash, the mechanic had also shared videos on social media showing himself repairing the luxury vehicle.
