Masked suspects throw improvised explosive at Diyarbakir police headquarters

Two masked suspects threw an improvised explosive device at the main service building of Diyarbakir Provincial Police Headquarters on Sunday evening, Turkish authorities said, though the device caused no damage and no injuries were reported.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. local time near the citizen entrance of the police headquarters building, according to a statement from the Diyarbakir Governor's Office. Initial investigations revealed that two individuals wearing face masks fled quickly into alleys after throwing the device.

Authorities have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Expert teams examine scene, find no structural damage

Specialist teams conducted examinations at the scene and surrounding area, determining that the improvised explosive did not cause any damage to the building or infrastructure.

The governor's office stated that security units are continuing their work meticulously to identify the perpetrators and bring them into custody.
