Fethiye Mayor Alim Karaca was injured in the foot in an armed attack Saturday in the southwestern resort district of Fethiye and was taken to the hospital for treatment, authorities said.
According to initial information, the attacker reportedly arrived near Karaca’s residence wearing a face mask and opened fire.
