Nicolai Palamarcuc, who worked at a company in the Ziya Gokalp neighborhood's Aymakop Shoemakers Industrial Site, was reported to the business owner by other employees who claimed they saw him taking documents allegedly belonging to the firm around 4 p.m.

Four relatives of the business owner—identified as Y.K.A., K.C., C.C. and R.K.—arrived at the shop and took Palamarcuc to the upper floor of the building.

Witnesses who observed Palamarcuc being taken upstairs by the four men called Türkiye's 112 Emergency Call Center after hearing sounds from the shop.

Police officers who responded to the scene found Palamarcuc with his hands and feet bound with plastic zip ties, severely beaten. Officers also discovered suspect R.K. standing over Palamarcuc with a knife.

Police intervened in the situation and detained all four suspects.
