President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will undertake official visits to Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman on October 21-23, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran announced on Monday.
The three-stop visit aims to comprehensively review bilateral relations in all dimensions and advance defense cooperation, energy partnerships, and investment opportunities between Türkiye and Gulf states. Regional developments and international issues are expected to feature prominently in discussions with each nation's leadership.
"Within the scope of the visits, discussions will be held on reviewing bilateral relations with the aforementioned countries in all dimensions and conducting studies to further develop the existing cooperation," Duran noted.
"In the meetings, consultations are also envisaged on international issues, particularly regional developments. On the occasion of the visits, it is also planned to sign various agreements in order to strengthen the contractual basis of bilateral relations," he added.
The Turkish president's first stop is Kuwait, where he will meet with the Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
The discussion will address bilateral relations between the two countries, the humanitarian situation in Gaza, coordination of aid efforts, and support for the ceasefire process. Strengthening commercial ties between Türkiye and Kuwait will also feature on the agenda.
"Discussions will cover Gaza humanitarian conditions, aid coordination, and ceasefire process support," the reports said.
President Erdogan will travel to Qatar after completing the Kuwait discussions. He will meet with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha.
Gaza is expected to be the main agenda item during the Doha meeting.
Türkiye and Qatar have conducted close cooperation on achieving a lasting ceasefire in Gaza, delivering humanitarian assistance, and establishing an international task force planned for Gaza.
Erdogan previously visited Qatar in September, following an Israeli attack on Doha, to attend the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League.
The tour concludes in Oman, where Erdogan will meet with Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq bin Taimur Al Said.
Discussions will address economic cooperation matters alongside regional developments.
