Türkiye's defense and aviation industry exports reached $3.6 billion in the first six months of 2025, marking a 25% increase compared to the same period last year.

Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) head Haluk Gorgun announced the significant growth figures in a social media post on X. Defense and aviation exports for June 2025 totaled $623 million, representing a 10.4% increase compared to June 2024.

The monthly performance contributed to the overall positive trend in the sector's export performance.

Annual export figures reach record levels

Gorgun announced that total exports over the past 12 months reached $7.45 billion, showing a 23.1% increase.

"Our total exports over the last 12 months have been recorded as $7.45 billion, with a 23.1% increase. This rise is not just a statistic, but the manifestation in the field of a development architecture designed with vision," Gorgun stated.

As part of its export strategy, the SSB has increased the number of exporting companies and shifted the product mix toward high-tech goods.

Gorgun emphasized the global scope of Türkiye's defense industry presence: "We are making the Turkish defense industry visible all over the world with international collaborations that deepen not only regionally but also on a global scale."

"We are reshaping an ecosystem extending from our large-scale companies to SMEs in the triangle of sustainable export, global competition and domestic production," Gorgun added.

Gorgun acknowledged the role of all sector participants in achieving these results.

"I offer my most sincere thanks to all our managers and employees who made this rise possible with their vision. We will continue to move forward with a defense industry vision that draws its strength from the nation and its direction from the future," Gorgun concluded.
