Turkish defense electronics manufacturer ASELSAN has signed a $410 million export contract with Poland for the direct sale of electronic warfare systems, marking one of the company's largest European deals to date.
The contract was disclosed through Türkiye's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), with ASELSAN confirming the agreement involved a NATO member customer for electronic warfare systems. Polish media gave prominent coverage to the signing ceremony.
The announcement comes as Türkiye's defense industry continues its rapid export growth, with officials reporting record-breaking figures on nearly a daily basis.
Haluk Gorgun, president of Türkiye's Defense Industries, announced the ASELSAN contract during the HASAT 2025 event at Teknopark Istanbul, describing the momentum in the sector as remarkable.
"Just yesterday I shared that we had reached $8.5 billion in exports," Gorgun said. "Today it became $8.6 billion. We are breaking records every day."
Gorgun characterized the ASELSAN agreement as an electronic warfare project contract exceeding $400 million with a European partner, and teased additional major news on the horizon.
The defense industries chief said Türkiye now exports defense products to 185 countries worldwide and currently ranks 11th globally among defense-exporting nations. He expressed optimism about climbing higher in those rankings, noting the country is "challenging the top 10."
Gorgun praised the collaborative ecosystem that has enabled the sector's success, crediting what he described as smart, hardworking, and well-motivated teams solving difficult problems together.
Beyond the Poland deal, Gorgun indicated another significant export agreement is imminent, stating that "next week we will share with the public an even larger contract from another one of our companies."
The official reflected on recent achievements across the sector, pointing to tests, deliveries, and product launches over the past 10 days as evidence of sustained progress. He described working within such an ecosystem as among his greatest sources of professional satisfaction, emphasizing the focus on creating value not just for today but for future generations.
