Two Turkish families living in Japan became involved in a street brawl during nighttime hours, with amateur footage of the confrontation circulating widely online.
The families are registered in Kars, a province in eastern Türkiye near the Iranian border, and in Fatsa, a district in Ordu, a province on Türkiye's Black Sea coast. Both had emigrated to Japan.
The confrontation broke out on a busy street and quickly escalated from a verbal dispute into physical violence involving around 20 people, according to footage of the incident.
Video of the confrontation showed participants using long sticks and throwing red traffic cones during the fight.
Parked bicycles were also knocked over and pulled into the brawl. Some individuals who fell to the ground continued to be struck by others involved.
Japanese residents in the area, unaccustomed to large-scale public brawls, kept a safe distance while recording the incident on their phones. Footage showed several bystanders reacting to the scene with visible surprise and laughter as the confrontation unfolded.
