Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahceli issued a stark ultimatum Tuesday to PKK's Syrian branch SDF, warning that military intervention would become "inevitable" if they fail to comply with a March 2025 agreement signed with Syria's government.

Speaking in a written statement, Bahceli declared that Terror group PKK's Syria branches SDF and YPG must "strictly comply" with the memorandum of understanding they signed with Damascus on March 10, 2025.

"It should be known by everyone that if they do not comply with and fulfill the requirements of the memorandum of understanding that SDF/YPG signed with the Syrian administration on March 10, 2025, military intervention will become inevitable through the joint will of Ankara and Damascus," Bahceli stated.

Allegations of Israeli influence over Kurdish groups emerge

The MHP leader accused the SDF/YPG of operating under Israeli influence, claiming that "Israel constantly raises its hand regarding Syria's division and fragmentation." He described the terror group destablizing Syria even after fall of Assad dictatorship as being "in Israel's orbit" and warned against what he characterized as a "US-Israel consortium" laying the groundwork for "bloody civil war and division" in Syria.

Turkish-Syrian cooperation against Kurdish autonomy demands

Bahceli emphasized that any deviation from the March agreement would prompt coordinated action between Türkiye and Syria. He rejected proposals for Syrian federalism as "masked division and separatism," particularly criticizing what he called demands ranging "from autonomy to independence" by terror group branches.

In the same statement, Bahceli launched severe attacks on main opposition party CHP's leader Ozgur Ozel, claiming the party entered a "political coma." He criticized Ozel's recent comments about wanting to be a "war-winning commander," calling such statements a sign of "mental eclipse."
