Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep sorrow over the tragic shooting incident at a school in Graz, Austria, earlier today.
The ministry confirmed ongoing close coordination with Austrian authorities to determine whether any Turkish nationals were impacted by the attack.
In its statement, Türkiye extended condolences to the families of the deceased and to the Austrian people, while wishing a swift recovery for the injured.
On Tuesday, June 10, a gunman opened fire at a school in the southeastern Austrian city of Graz. The attack, which occurred in the morning hours, left 10 people dead, including several students, at least one adult, and the suspected shooter. Graz Mayor Elke Kahr confirmed the death toll and stated that investigations into the identities of the victims are ongoing. The incident marks one of the deadliest school shootings in Austria in recent years.
