The Republic of Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications has issued a statement on social media, firmly denying allegations that radar data from the Kurecik Radar Base is shared with Israel.

The statement explains that the Kurecik Radar Base was established to safeguard Türkiye’s national security and strategic interests, primarily serving the protection of NATO allied countries. Data collected at Kurecik is shared strictly under NATO procedures and only with NATO member states..

No data shared with non-NATO countries, including Israel

The Directorate emphasized that data from the radar base is never shared with non-NATO countries, including Israel. Any claims otherwise are either misinformed or part of deliberate disinformation aimed at misleading the public.

The statement highlights that publicly spreading misleading information related to national security is a criminal offense under Article 217/A of the Turkish Penal Code.

Türkiye’s clear stance on Israel’s regional actions

Türkiye opposes Israel’s destabilizing activities in the Middle East and does not support such actions in any form. This position is consistently expressed within NATO, where Türkiye also opposes Israel’s participation in NATO exercises.

The Directorate urges respect for accurate information and reaffirms Türkiye’s commitment to national and regional security.
