Supporting a transitional governance mission

The eight ministers reaffirmed their countries' support for the peace efforts led by President Trump and expressed their commitment to implementing the Peace Council mission as a transitional administration. This mission has been outlined in the Comprehensive Plan to End the Conflict in Gaza, which was approved by UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

According to the joint statement, the initiative aims to consolidate a lasting ceasefire, support Gaza's reconstruction, and advance a just and sustainable peace based on the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and statehood under international law. The ministers emphasized that these goals are designed to pave the way for security and stability for all countries and peoples in the region.

Diplomatic coordination on Gaza's future

The Peace Council represents a coordinated diplomatic effort to address the aftermath of the conflict in Gaza through a structured governance framework during a transitional period. The participating nations have positioned themselves as key stakeholders in both the immediate ceasefire maintenance and the longer-term political resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The statement stressed the ministers' determination to support fair and lasting peace, indicating that diplomatic efforts will continue in coordination among the participating countries. The initiative places particular emphasis on the reconstruction of Gaza while grounding its approach in established principles of international law regarding Palestinian statehood.
