Türkiye has delivered nine domestically produced ZACENS-type tank wagons to the Ministry of National Defense, strengthening the military’s logistics and fuel supply capabilities, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu said.
The wagons were produced by Türkiye Rail System Vehicles Industry Inc. (TURASAS) at its Sivas Regional Directorate, according to a written statement by the minister.
Uraloglu said the wagons were specifically designed for fuel supply operations and for use at NATO POL (Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants) facilities.
“TURASAS has delivered nine ZACENS-type tank wagons to the Ministry of National Defense,” he said.
“Following the UAIS-type military tank carrier wagons, these new freight wagons, produced with domestic and national resources, will play a critical role in transporting energy resources and strengthening our army’s logistics capacity.”
The minister said the wagons were developed in line with international standards to ensure the safe transport and storage of fuel and other liquid materials.
He added that TURASAS aims not only to meet civilian transportation needs but also to support the armed forces’ critical operational requirements.
“These domestically developed wagons will help establish an uninterrupted supply chain in military logistics and play an important role in the shipment of energy resources,” Uraloglu said.
