Türkiye’s 2027 Presidential Annual Program sets AI-supported certification of green transformation in industry and broader access to AI tools for manufacturers as goals, according to a compilation by Anadolu Agency (AA).
The program focuses on “twin transition," the term for combined green and digital transformation, across all areas of manufacturing. Priority sectors include chemicals, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, machinery, electrical equipment, automotive, electronics and rail system vehicles.
The stated aim is higher competitiveness and productivity and a shift to higher value-added production.
Facilities that report reduced emissions and improved energy and resource efficiency are planned to receive certification showing these results. Work will be carried out to develop an AI-based system for certifying green transformation in industry.
R&D activities and technology transfer will be supported to adopt sustainable production and green transformation technologies.
Investments approved under the Green Transformation and Digital Transformation programs will receive either priority investment status or high-intensity support under the Strategic Move Program, depending on their amounts.
The program includes sectoral analyses in manufacturing and encourages integrating AI, big data analytics, and advanced automation into production processes. Support for company investments under the Digital Transformation Program will continue. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will receive consultancy on digital maturity assessments in particular.
European Digital Innovation Hubs, supported under the Digital Europe Program, are planned to offer SMEs infrastructure, access to finance, business development consultancy and training in digitalization.
The KOSGEB AI Credit Program, provided through the GO Digital Wallet, will support access to high-performance computing resources, secure data storage and AI tools for holders of the Techno-Venture Badge (“Teknogirisim Rozeti”). KOSGEB is a state agency, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization. Model factories will also develop the physical and human infrastructure for digital transformation.
