Türkiye secures extradition of 15 fugitives from 6 countries

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 14 individuals wanted with red notices and 1 nationally wanted suspect have been extradited to Türkiye from Georgia, Germany, Greece, Belgium, Serbia, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

According to Yerlikaya, individuals who had fled abroad and were being sought by authorities were successfully located through international cooperation and intelligence efforts.

Using INTERPOL databases, police information systems, social media, open sources, and the analytical efforts of departments including Intelligence, Narcotics, Public Order, Cyber Crimes, and Human Trafficking, the countries where the fugitives were hiding were identified one by one.

In coordination with the Ministry of Justice, these individuals were apprehended through direct operational cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the relevant countries.

  • From Georgia:
    • A.O.: Wanted for drug trafficking
    • S.C.: Wanted for cyber fraud and human trafficking
    • I.K.: Wanted for kidnapping, assault, home invasion, armed threats, and property damage
    • D.T.: Wanted for assault, resisting law enforcement, damaging public property, insults, and illegal weapons
    • I.C.: Wanted for escaping from custody, murder, smuggling contraband into prison
    • A.S.: Wanted for child abuse and kidnapping
    • I.K. (second): Wanted for robbery, fraud, forgery, and counterfeiting
    • O.B.: Wanted for armed robbery, kidnapping, and threats
  • From Germany:
    • M.Y.: Wanted for drug trafficking
    • S.A.: Wanted for intentional murder
    • O.G.: Wanted for cyber fraud
  • From Greece:
    • B.S.: Wanted for theft, home invasion, and property damage
  • From Belgium:
    • A.G.: Wanted for assault
  • From Serbia:
    • K.K.: Wanted for drug trafficking
  • From TRNC:
    • C.K.: Wanted nationally for forgery, fraud, and loan sharking

Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that a total of 407 criminals have been extradited to Türkiye during the current cabinet's term, highlighting the government’s continued efforts in ensuring justice and public safety.
