Türkiye’s population reached 85,980,654 as of Oct. 1, 2025, according to the latest quarterly population statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The data highlight a continued, though moderate, increase in the country’s population over the first nine months of the year.
At the end of 2024, Türkiye’s population was recorded at 85,664,944.
Over the first nine months of 2025, the population increased by 315,710, reflecting steady growth. In particular, the period between July 1 and Oct. 1 saw an increase of 155,800 people, indicating a consistent demographic expansion.
The new figures show a nearly balanced gender distribution across the country. The male population stands at 43,003,770, accounting for 50.02% of the total, while the female population is 42,976,884, representing 49.98%. This balance underscores the stability of demographic ratios in Türkiye despite ongoing population growth.
