Residents in Ankara’s Kalecik district are experiencing a temporary water outage on Thursday, June 12, due to an unplanned technical failure, according to a statement from the Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKI).
The disruption began at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to be resolved by noon the same day.
The fault was traced to a failure in the Ø 75 PVC main transmission pipeline located on Mustafa Tamkoc Street in the Cansa Kale neighborhood.
“Due to a malfunction in the main line, an unplanned water outage has been implemented. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” ASKI noted.
As summer temperatures rise, water interruptions can significantly impact daily life. Residents are actively using ASKİ’s online portal to track the status of ongoing repairs and expected restoration times.
The Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKI) provides real-time outage updates and repair notifications via its official website: aski.gov.tr.
Similar outages may occur in other districts as well, so residents across Ankara are advised to regularly check ASKI’s website for the latest information.
