'We will continue growing above sector average,' says Aselsan general manager

Aselsan General Manager Ahmet Akyol stated on Wednesday that the company will continue to grow above the sector average.

Akyol was a guest on Turkish media outlet Bloomberg HT and noted that the company grew 29% in dollar terms in the first nine months of the year.

"While the world has approximately 12% growth in dollar terms, we achieved growth above the sector average," Akyol noted.

Evaluating the company's 12.3% real growth in the first nine months, Akyol recorded that they grew 29% in dollar terms, noting, "It is important to follow the dynamics in the defense industry. We succeeded in preparing the right products and technologies on time. The increase in defense spending in the world is also important here."

Akyol projected that they will continue to grow above the sector average.

Global presence with competitive products and strategic partnerships

Akyol noted that the company operates in 25 countries.

"Our product range is extremely competitive and game-changing. Our preference rate has increased. We are on the path to becoming a brand in the world. Aselsan's recognition in the world has also increased," he noted.

Addressing partnerships, Akyol noted that they recently collaborated with a Hungarian company.

"We signed a partnership agreement with the Czech Republic last month. We are increasing the ground for cooperation here. We particularly have an increasing trend on the Eastern Europe axis," Akyol said.

Akyol lastly noted that while the world average for international accumulated orders is 42%, Aselsan's is 120%.
