At least 22 Palestinians were killed on Saturday as Israeli forces continued their intense military campaign in Gaza, according to medical sources.

In the latest incidents, six Palestinians—including four women—were killed in an Israeli strike on a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip, medical officials reported.

Shortly before that, four Palestinians died in an Israeli strike targeting a civilian vehicle near the Al-Sahaba Medical Complex in Gaza City.

In the Al-Shanti area of Gaza City, four members of the same family were killed overnight when an Israeli strike hit their tent, according to Anadolu news agency.

Additionally, three Palestinians were shot dead while attempting to reach a U.S.-backed aid distribution point in western Rafah.

Since Tuesday, Palestinians seeking food have been killed almost daily by Israeli gunfire while trying to collect aid from distribution centers operated by the newly established Gaza Humanitarian Foundation—a body supported by both Israel and the United States.

In Khan Younis, two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Bani Suheila town, where Israeli forces have reportedly carried out widespread demolitions of buildings and infrastructure, including in the nearby town of Al-Qarara, eyewitnesses said.

Rescue teams also recovered the bodies of two Palestinians killed in a previous Israeli strike on Al-Qarara; however, the exact timing of the attack was not specified.

In central Khan Younis, one Palestinian was killed and several others injured when an Israeli drone strike targeted the Al-Safi neighborhood in the Al-Sikka area.

Since March 2, Israel has kept all border crossings closed, cutting off the entry of food, medicine, fuel, and other essential supplies for Gaza’s 2.4 million residents.

Israel kills over 54,000 people in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023

Israel has maintained a devastating offensive in Gaza since October 2023, resulting in the deaths of over 54,300 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children. Aid agencies have repeatedly warned about the risk of famine in the enclave, home to more than 2 million people.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its alleged war crimes against civilians in the enclave.
