Fourteen survivors from the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane in western Kazakhstan have been hospitalised, local health officials said on Wednesday.
"At the moment, 14 survivors have been taken to the regional hospital, including five in intensive care," the health ministry's regional department said in a statement.
In a statement made by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport, it was reported that 37 Azerbaijani, 6 Kazakh, 3 Kyrgyz and 16 Russian citizens were on board the plane.

There were 67 passengers and five crew members on board the plane that crashed in Kazakhstan, according to the Azerbaijani APA agency. However AA reports that Azerbaijani Airlines plane that crashes near Kazakh city of Aktau was carrying 105 passengers, 5 crew members.
According to the statement given by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) to APA, the "Azerbaijan Airlines" aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, an "Embraer 190" airplane, made an emergency landing 3 km near the city of Aktau.
According to initial information, the incident was caused by a collision of the aircraft with a flock of birds.
