Two gas vessels caught fire Wednesday at Egypt's Damietta liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal during cargo discharge, according to the Egyptian Oil Ministry and maritime firms.
ICC Shipping said an explosion was reported at the terminal during cargo discharge and that the port was partially closed after the incident.
Operations were expected to resume overnight, ICC Shipping said.
The Egyptian Oil Ministry said two ships used for the processing and storage of gas caught fire at the port, adding that no injuries were reported.
"The situation was handled immediately in accordance with emergency and rapid response plans," the ministry said.
The ministry did not identify the cause of the fire.

Maritime security firm Ambrey said a drone hit a U.S.-owned gas storage tanker at Egypt's Mediterranean port of Damietta.
Port services firm Inchcape said two gas tankers caught fire at Damietta.
Egyptian authorities have not immediately commented on the incident.
