Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf delivered a sweeping address on the 30th day of the war, Sunday, warning that Iranian forces are waiting for a U.S. ground invasion to "set American soldiers on fire."
He dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump's 15-point negotiation framework as a list of unachieved war goals, vowing Iran will not exit the war "except with victory."
The Parliament speaker also accused Washington of publicly seeking talks while secretly planning a ground attack.
Ghalibaf said Iran is fully aware of U.S. preparations by stating, "The enemy openly sends a message of negotiation and dialogue and is secretly planning a ground attack. Unaware that our men are waiting for the arrival of American soldiers on the ground to set them on fire and to punish their regional partners forever."
He said Iran's missiles remain operational and its resolve has grown.
"Our strikes continue. Our missiles are active. Our determination and faith have increased. We are aware of the enemy's weaknesses and clearly see the signs of fear and terror in the enemy's forces," he said as reported by Iranian media outlets.
Ghalibaf dismissed Trump's framework for negotiations by saying, "America is stating its wishes and announcing what it has not achieved in the war as a 15-point list and is now pursuing it through diplomacy."
"As long as Americans seek the surrender of Iran, the answer of your children to these American wishes is clear: Never will we accept humiliation," he added.
Ghalibaf claimed that the war on Iran has "exposed" the limits of U.S. power.
"The enemy who claimed to have destroyed our air force, navy and missile forces, who had a plan to collapse the Islamic Republic, has now made the opening of the Strait of Hormuz its goal. Opening a strait that was open before the Ramadan War has become Trump's operational wish," he said.
He listed what he described as U.S. failures: "Energy markets have gone out of control. Food inflation is imminent. Symbols of American prestige, from F-35s to aircraft carriers and regional bases, have sustained massive damage. Strikes against the regime have been effective, precise, and foundational."
He said Trump "has been accused in the world of starting an aimless war and has no answer for his public opinion. The evil of starting the war has returned to its initiator."
Ghalibaf called the conflict "a global war," adding that, "We are in a great world war and must prepare ourselves for the difficult and winding path ahead. We are certain that we can punish America and make it regret ever wanting to attack Iran."
"I assure you that by Allah's grace, we will not exit this war except with victory, and the signs of this victory are beginning to appear. We will not end this war; we will not allow the enemies to exit the war without the consolidation of Iran's authority," he concluded.
The U.S. and Israel have maintained airstrikes on Iran since Feb. 28, killing so far over 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
