Israeli forces carried out raids across multiple areas of the West Bank on Wednesday, demolishing Palestinian homes and structures, witnesses and officials said.
Mutez Basharat, responsible for Tubas Governorate and northern Al-Aghwar, told Anadolu Agency that Israeli bulldozers destroyed several buildings in the northern Al-Aghwar town of Ein Al-Hilweh. The structures included homes and tin agricultural shelters. Israeli authorities justified the demolitions, citing the 1995 Oslo II Accord and claiming the buildings were unauthorized.
Israeli troops also imposed closures on several towns, including El-Mughayyir east of Ramallah, where a curfew was enforced. Witnesses said reinforcements were deployed, and dozens of young residents were detained. Other towns affected included Turmus Ayya, Abu Falah, and Duma.
Witnesses reported that raids and detentions occurred across numerous cities, towns, and refugee camps in the West Bank.
