Iran launched a new wave of missiles toward Israel on Monday, the Israeli military said, marking the sixth salvo since the latest flare-up in fighting began the previous day.
"A short while ago, the IDF identified missiles launched from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel. Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat," the military said.
The Israeli army later said the situation was safe and told residents they could leave shelters after the latest attack.
Israel's national ambulance service, Magen David Adom, said there were no known casualties from the barrage.
"MDA medics and paramedics went out to scan the scene where a report was received. Update later if necessary," the organization said on Telegram.
The latest Iranian missile attack followed Israeli airstrikes across western and central Iran early Monday.
Explosions were reported in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan and near Karaj, according to Iranian media.
The Israeli military said its air force targeted military sites linked to the Iranian government in western and central parts of the country.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Israel used air-launched ballistic missiles in attacks on locations inside Iran.
Iranian officials also said a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, was hit.
Khuzestan Deputy Governor Valiollah Hayati said parts of the Karun Petrochemical Company were damaged after munitions struck the facility, according to Mehr News Agency.
The Israeli bombardment came hours after Tehran fired missile barrages toward northern Israel.
That Iranian attack was launched in retaliation for an earlier Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs in Lebanon.
The exchanges continued despite U.S. President Donald Trump's appeal to avoid further escalation and his statement that an agreement with Iran remained within reach.
Yemen's Houthis also added to regional tensions by launching a ballistic missile toward Israel.
