Israeli forces carried out airstrikes, artillery attacks and demolitions across southern Lebanon on Friday, while military vehicles advanced toward the outskirts of the border town of Kfar Shuba, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.
Israeli warplanes struck Mansouri in the Tyre district, while artillery fire hit the outskirts of Bint Jbeil and the valleys of Srebbine and Zibqin. Israeli forces also fired heavily toward valleys and wooded areas in Srebbine, the agency reported.
In the Nabatieh district, Israeli forces carried out two large explosions simultaneously in Kfar Tebnit, near a school, and in Zawtar al-Sharqiya toward Nabatieh al-Fawqa, according to the agency.
Artillery shelling also hit the Jarmaq area in the Jezzine district and the outskirts of Kfar Shuba.
Near Kfar Shuba, an Israeli military bulldozer advanced toward the town’s southern outskirts alongside two tanks and several other vehicles, the agency reported.
Separately, an Israeli drone dropped a stun grenade on the outskirts of Khiam. No immediate reports of casualties or damage were available.
Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed 4,389 people and injured 12,424 others since March 2, according to official figures released by the Lebanese government on Monday.
The attacks have continued despite a U.S-sponsored "Framework Agreement" signed by Beirut and Tel Aviv on June 26. The deal calls for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army.
Israel continues to strike southern Lebanon and maintain control over Lebanese areas, including territory occupied for decades and areas seized during more recent wars and military operations.
