Since Saturday morning, Israel has carried out continuous airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, killing at least 92 Palestinians and wounding many others, according to the Palestinian state news agency WAFA, citing medical sources.
The strikes targeted civilian areas, including a residential building in the Hamad neighborhood in northwest Khan Younis and a house in Abasan al-Kabira, located to the east of the city. In one of the attacks, two siblings were reportedly killed.
In another strike, tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis were hit, causing a massive fire. At least 20 people were killed in that incident alone, with many more injured.
So far, 34 of the reported fatalities occurred in Gaza City and the northern parts of the enclave.
Medical and local sources stated that Israeli forces have killed over 200 civilians in the past 48 hours.
The latest escalation has forced around 300,000 Palestinians to flee from northern Gaza towards Gaza City.
Additionally, nearly 1,000 homes have been either completely destroyed or severely damaged.
The same sources also reported that approximately 140 bodies remain trapped under the rubble, as Israeli forces are deliberately preventing ambulance and rescue teams from reaching the targeted areas — an act considered a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
