The SDF is moving away from the March 10 agreement with Damascus because it has been "deceived by the promises from Zionist genocidal forces," Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Spokesman Omer Celik said Monday, warning that Turkish armed forces are ready to act the moment President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gives the order.
"The reason the SDF is moving in the opposite direction when it should be progressing toward the March 10 agreement is that it has fallen for certain promises from Zionist genocidal forces there," Celik told reporters after a meeting of the AK Party's Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) chaired by Erdogan.
"It thinks it can advance in certain areas and gain something by cooperating with Zionist genocidal forces. This is not correct. It is extremely wrong," he added.
Celik emphasized that Türkiye's military readiness does not require waiting days, weeks or months.
"Right now, the armed forces have the preparations to carry this out the moment our President, as commander-in-chief, gives the order," Celik said.
"But we want there to be no need for this. When there is a need, it will of course be carried out without hesitation," he added.
AK Party spokesman said whoever is encouraging the SDF not to lay down its weapons and pushing it toward becoming "an army within an army, a state within a state" is committing one of the greatest wrongs against Syria.
The AK Party spokesman underlined that, despite nearly a year having passed since the March 10 agreement, no steps have been taken.
"Two or three articles of this could have been implemented. The articles of the March 10 agreement must be quickly fulfilled. This debate must be removed from the agenda," he said.
"We must focus on Turks, Kurds and Arabs living together in prosperity and peace, in a terror-free zone framework, in the coming period," he added.
Celik warned against the SDF's approach of seeking to remain as an autonomous bloc force.
"There cannot be two armies in one country, there cannot be two armed forces in one country. If it is thought that there will be two armed forces at the army level in a country, the end of this is a civil war scenario," he said.
"In such a scenario, Arabs, Turkmens, Kurds, Alevis, Sunnis, Nusayris, Yazidis, Shias, everyone loses," he added.
Türkiye's ruling party spokesman also said accepting the March 10 agreement but implementing it "in blocs" means operating as a new army within the army.
Celik confirmed that Türkiye is observing new fortifications being built by the terrorist organization in Raqqa and Deir el-Zour, as Defense Minister Yasar Guler had noted.
"We also see the caves being evacuated. Some caves are being evacuated. We view this positively," he stated.
However, he noted that different policies are being pursued in Syria and parts of Iraq, with weapons not yet being laid down in Hakurk, Gara and Sinjar.
"We are acting with strategic patience. We are conducting our activities and follow-ups, and at the same time we see all of this. The state's eye sees everything simultaneously," he said.
Celik also rejected claims that Kurdish gains are being taken away, emphasizing that no terrorist organization can be presented as an ethnic group's achievement.
"The March 10 agreement contains very clear and strong expressions regarding the recognition of Kurdish identities that were denied during the Assad regime era and their being an integral part of Syria," he said.
"We want a future in our near region where Turks, Kurds and Arabs all win—brotherly, dignified, prosperous and peaceful," he concluded.
