Iran renews barrage after US move in Hormuz

The incident comes against a backdrop of escalating regional strain after the U.S. Navy moved to guide stranded vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, prompting renewed Iranian attacks.

Earlier, the United Arab Emirates reported detecting four cruise missiles launched from Iran, with three intercepted over its waters and one falling into the sea.

That episode was followed by a drone strike that triggered a major fire at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, according to local authorities.
