"Iran has requested a meeting. It will take place tomorrow in Doha," Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform.

Axios: US, Iran agreed to halt attacks, plan Hormuz talks

The U.S.-based news outlet Axios, citing an unnamed senior U.S. official, reported that the United States and Iran had agreed to stop attacks against each other and were planning to meet in Doha on June 30 to resolve disagreements over the Strait of Hormuz.

The reports followed an exchange of fire between the two countries in the Gulf in recent days, testing their fragile ceasefire.

"We decided to stop all the kinetic activity," a senior U.S. official told Axios, using the military's term for strikes and other attacks.

Iran: 'No technical meetings of the working groups are planned for this week'

Gharibabadi denied the reports, saying consultations were continuing through mediator countries on the date and location of any future technical talks.

"No technical meetings of the working groups are planned for this week," Gharibabadi said, according to Tasnim News Agency.

Gharibabadi said talks between Iran and Qatar on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) were ongoing, and that a decision on the date and location of technical meetings would be reached once the necessary conditions were in place.

Under mediation by Qatar and Pakistan, the first round of negotiations between Iran and the U.S. in Switzerland was completed on June 21.

Those talks addressed technical details related to implementing the 14-point memorandum of understanding.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministries of mediator countries Qatar and Pakistan said the parties had agreed, in line with the signed memorandum, to establish a high-level committee to oversee the political aspects of the mediation effort.

The statement said the parties had agreed on a roadmap aimed at reaching a final agreement within 60 days.

The most recent talks between Tehran and Washington took place in Switzerland on June 21, with delegations from all four countries, the U.S., Iran, Qatar and Pakistan, in attendance.
