Turkish Foreign Ministry sources announced that Turkish citizens aboard the Madleen vessel detained by Israeli forces reached shore Monday evening.
Foreign Ministry sources stated in an announcement: "Our citizens aboard the Madleen vessel detained by Israeli forces reached shore yesterday evening (June 9). Officials from our Tel Aviv Embassy met with these citizens early this morning. All kinds of consular support is being provided to our citizens and relatives of our citizens are being informed about the process."
Türkiye announced through its Tel Aviv Embassy that direct contact was established with Turkish citizen Suayb Ordu aboard the detained vessel.
Tel Aviv Embassy officials met with the Turkish citizens early in the morning after they reached shore, providing immediate consular assistance and support.
The Foreign Ministry sources confirmed that all necessary consular support is being provided to the Turkish citizens involved in the incident. Relatives of the Turkish citizens are being regularly informed about the process and developments regarding their family members' situation.
The Madleen vessel was part of a humanitarian mission organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition to deliver aid to Gaza when it was intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters.
The vessel carried 12 international activists, including Turkish citizen Suayb Ordu, who were attempting to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza and deliver humanitarian assistance to Palestinians.
