Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal has reportedly set its sights on Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri, preparing a €40 million ($46.08 million) bid after failed attempts to land Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres, Turkish media reported on Thursday.
The Moroccan forward, who scored 30 goals and recorded seven assists in 52 appearances for Fenerbahce last season, is said to have informed the club of his desire to leave, amid mounting criticism from fans.
According to Spanish outlet Todofichajes, Al Hilal, now coached by Simone Inzaghi, has turned to En-Nesyri after other high-profile transfer targets slipped away. Negotiations with Fenerbahce are expected to begin in the coming days.
Fenerbahce had previously rejected a €30 million offer from Al Nassr for the 27-year-old during the winter transfer window.
As part of the deal, Sevilla is entitled to 10 percent of any transfer fee, per an earlier agreement.
Fenerbahce, aiming to reinvest the funds from a potential sale, is reportedly interested in bringing Aleksandar Mitrovic back to Europe. The Serbian striker had been on the club’s radar before choosing Al Hilal following his departure from Fulham in 2023.
Local media claim Mitrovic, 30, is now open to a return to European football and views Fenerbahce as a serious option.
Reports from French outlet La Provence indicate that Fenerbahce has approached Marseille midfielder Azzedine Ounahi. The 25-year-old Moroccan spent last season on loan at Greek side Panathinaikos and is also being pursued by Olympiacos and AEK Athens.
Ounahi's current market value is estimated at €10 million.
Fenerbahce is also revamping its defensive lineup, placing Becao, Djiku, Yusuf Akcicek, and Carlos Vinicius on the transfer list.
The club is continuing talks with PSG over Milan Skriniar and has reportedly opened negotiations with Al Ahli for Turkish international Merih Demiral, who could reunite with national teammate Caglar Soyuncu if the deal is finalized.
