Former Fenerbahce winger Allan Saint-Maximin is facing legal trouble in Türkiye after his controversial remarks about alleged doping practices triggered a strong reaction from the International Union of Athletes (US-SEN), which has filed a criminal complaint against the French footballer.
According to Ajansspor, US-SEN has submitted the complaint to the Golbasi Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ankara, accusing the player of four separate offenses under the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) and Law No. 6222, which addresses violence and disorder in sports.
The charges listed in the union’s petition include:
The complaint, signed by US-SEN President Bekir Ayaz, argues that Saint-Maximin’s statements damaged the reputation of his former club, harmed the image of Turkish football internationally, and violated the integrity and peaceful nature of the sport.
“We request the initiation of an investigation, the collection of evidence, and the filing of a public lawsuit against the French national professional footballer Allan Saint-Maximin,” the statement reads.
The union emphasized that the player's remarks go beyond harming a single club and pose a broader threat to sports ethics and fair play. US-SEN called for the legal process to be pursued decisively.
