Anadolu Efes Men’s Basketball Team will host Germany’s Bayern Munich in Antalya on Friday as part of the Turkish team’s bid to turn its season around in the EuroLeague.
The match will take place at the Antalya Sports Hall, with tipoff scheduled for 8 p.m. local time (5 p.m. GMT).
The two-time EuroLeague champion has had a difficult run this season, recording only three wins in 10 games and standing near the bottom of the standings.
Bayern Munich, with an even record of five wins and five losses, sits slightly higher in the table. Anadolu Efes will look to use the home-court atmosphere in Antalya—chosen as a special venue for this fixture—to reignite its momentum.
Friday’s matchup marks the 15th meeting between the two clubs in the EuroLeague since their first encounter in the 2018–2019 season. Anadolu Efes has won eight of the previous 14 games, while Bayern has taken six victories.
The Turkish side triumphed in both contests last season, defeating the German club 101–90 at home and 97–92 away.
This game will also mark Anadolu Efes’ 886th appearance in European competitions. Over its long continental journey, the Istanbul-based team has earned 497 victories and suffered 388 losses.
Since joining the EuroLeague in the 2001–2002 season, Efes has played 637 games, winning 340 of them.
