Istanbul club Galatasaray announced Thursday it has signed French right-back Sacha Boey on loan from Bayern Munich through the end of the 2025–2026 season.
The Turkish side disclosed it will pay the German club a net loan fee of €500,000 for the temporary transfer, with a non-obligatory purchase option included in the deal.
Boey arrived in Istanbul on a private jet from Munich the same day, returning to the club where he previously spent two and a half seasons.
He is expected to join the team once final procedures are completed.
The French defender is set to earn €1.75 million in guaranteed net salary for the remainder of the season.
Boey, 25, joined Galatasaray in 2021 for a €1.15 million fee and went on to make 83 official appearances, scoring four goals over two and a half seasons.
He transferred to Bayern Munich in January 2024 for €30 million ($35.3 million), a record outbound fee in Türkiye’s football history.
This season, he featured in 15 matches across all competitions but struggled to secure a regular starting role, reportedly prompting the loan move.
