Turkish club Besiktas is preparing for a significant squad reshuffle ahead of the upcoming season, with 20 players—including loanees returning to the squad—not expected to be part of head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans.

As the Black Eagles accelerate their transfer activity for next season, club officials face the challenging task of managing a bloated roster.

The list of players who are either out of favor or returning from loan spells includes several senior squad members.

Among the names reportedly not in Solskjaer’s plans are Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tayyip Talha, Emiliano Svensson, Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov, Onur Bulut, Joao Mario, Ciro Immobile, Ernest Muci, and goalkeeper Ersin Destanoglu.

Loan players and transfer revenue

Eleven players who spent the past season on loan will return to the club, but only three are expected to generate transfer revenue. Portuguese side Rio Ave is set to trigger the €5 million purchase clause for young midfielder Demir Ege Tiknaz.

Jackson Muleka is also set for a permanent move to Saudi side Al-Kholood, while Genoa is reportedly preparing to acquire Cameroonian midfielder Jean Onana. Meanwhile, Kartal Kayra Yilmaz and Can Keles are expected to be evaluated during the pre-season training camp.

Rafa Silva not for sale

Greek club AEK Athens has expressed interest in Besiktas star Rafa Silva, but club officials have made it clear that the Portuguese playmaker is not available for transfer.
