Besiktas’s pursuit of 23-year-old Beninese midfielder Junior Olaitan from Goztepe has entered its final stage, as the player arrived in Istanbul today to complete medical examinations and finalize contract negotiations.
Olaitan landed at Istanbul Airport, Domestic Terminal in the early afternoon, where he was received by officials from the black-and-white club. Besiktas officials have confirmed that, subject to satisfactory medical results, Olaitan is expected to sign a contract with the club in the coming days.
The signing of Olaitan would mark Besiktas’ third confirmed addition in this mid-season transfer window, following the arrivals of Yasin Ozcan and Kristjan Asllani.
The 23-year-old midfielder has impressed during his tenure at Goztepe, featuring in 17 Super Lig matches this season and contributing two goals. Known for his versatility, Olaitan is capable of operating both as an attacking midfielder and on the left wing.
Olaitan joined Goztepe from French club Grenoble in the previous transfer window for a reported fee of €850,000.
