Besiktas has initiated efforts to sign Javier Puado, the 26-year-old forward currently playing for La Liga side Espanyol. With the player’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, representatives from the Turkish club have traveled to Spain to negotiate his transfer.
Reports indicate that Besiktas and Puado have reached an agreement on financial terms and contract duration. However, the Catalan club’s fans are strongly urging the team to retain their captain and top scorer, putting pressure on the player to stay.
Spanish media suggest that Puado is finding it difficult to decide due to the fan pressure. Moreover, Besiktas is not the only club interested in the player; other La Liga teams have also expressed interest following his impressive performances this season. Despite this, Besiktas, who are looking to part ways with Ernst Muci, appear to be the most determined suitor. Club president Serdal Adali is reportedly ready to do everything possible to secure Puado’s transfer to Besiktas.
