Italy defeated host nation China 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-22, 25-13) in the bronze medal match of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Finals, played at the East Asian Games Dome in Macao, a special administrative region on the southern coast of China.
The match lasted one hour and 57 minutes. Italy dropped the second set to China before closing out the contest in the third and fourth sets.
The result gave Italy third place in the tournament. China, competing as tournament host, finished the event in fourth position.
The gold medal match between Türkiye and Brazil was scheduled to follow later Sunday at the same venue, set for 19:30 local time in Macao.
