The finalists for the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League have been confirmed following the conclusion of the second-leg semifinals across Europe.
In the UEFA Europa League, English side Aston Villa secured its place in the final with a 4–0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Villa Park. Having lost the first leg 1–0, Villa produced a decisive turnaround, with goals from Ollie Watkins, Emiliano Buendia and a brace from John McGinn sealing its progression.
The team will face German club Freiburg, who advanced after defeating Portuguese side Braga 3–1 at Europa-Park Stadion. Lukas Kubler scored twice, while Johan Manzambi also found the net. Braga was reduced to ten men early on following Mario Dorgeles’ red card, before Pau Victor scored a late consolation goal.
The final of the UEFA Europa League will be played on May 20, 2026, at Besiktas' Tupras Stadium in Istanbul.
In the UEFA Conference League, Crystal Palace and Rayo Vallecano will contest the final after advancing from their respective semifinal ties.
Rayo Vallecano progressed following a 1–0 away victory over Strasbourg, completing a narrow aggregate success thanks to Alemao’s decisive first-half goal at Stade de la Meinau.
Crystal Palace secured its place in the final with a 2–1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk at Selhurst Park. An own goal from Pedro Henrique and a strike from Ismaila Sarr ensured victory for the English side, while Eguinaldo scored for the Ukrainian club.
The UEFA Conference League final will be held on May 27, 2026, in Leipzig, Germany.
